A 62-year-old woman from an extremely low socio-economic background had excessive bleeding post-menstruation paired with extremely low haemoglobin. She needed semi-urgent hysterectomy with additional care in order to improve her haemoglobin levels. CSKHF funded the whole treatment plan to take good care of the patient. She was the sole breadwinner of the family and recovered from her surgery successfully and returned to work within 7 days
Research
As a part of the endeavour to augment medical education and research, CSKHF has been open to supporting medical research by approving grants. The research supported by CSKHF (regarding the use of musical instruments in sleep therapy) was presented by the researcher and has won awards in competitions across the state.
Community Support
CSKHF has been supporting the community and the city of Chennai during the time of the COVID-19 crisis. The trust has donated over 5 lakh worth of equipment related to COVID-19 healthcare to various hospitals all over the city. It also provides maternity care to infected mothers of newborn children.
